this is the very cute video that Tim made of when he and Zozo went to Tokyo Disney and of all of the characters that she met...she met more there than she ever has going to Disneyland, personally I think they were all enamored with the little American girl...

Mother's Day 2012
hubby really wanted to see his mom (after all she is 86) for Mother's Day, but I did not relish driving that far and being away from my own kids and grandkids all day...Tim had a great idea for us (Tim, Sam, Zoe and me) to be dropped off at Disney and picked up on his way back home...
great idea and it worked out perfectly...
we got to Disney at about 8 when it first opened and it was a very nice day, not a lot of people (tho we knew it would get crazy as the day progressed...) the weather was overcast...
we headed to Tomorrowland to start with so Tim could get his fast pass for Star Tours and then we all went on Buzz Lightyear...they all had a blast on that ride and we walked right on...Tim's score was at an all time high...I cannot hit those targets for the life of me and my score proved it...(was 500)
decided to hit Fantasyland next as that area is usually packed as the day goes on...once again, we walked onto each ride that we wanted to with no lines...we got on Peter Pan, Snow White, Mr. Toad,
Pinnocchio...oh yeah we also got right on the tea cups and Alice...
next up? Toon Town...Minnie was in her house and Zoe got to see her...Tim Sam & Zoe went on the roller coaster (Gadget's Go Coaster...) Tim just informed me that this coaster replicates exactly to the one in Tokyo...then to Roger Rabbit (which in all of this time I have never been on...)
decided to then take the long road to New Orlean's and we went on Pirate's while Tim got his requiste Mint Julep (he cannot go to D without one...)
all of the above was done before 10:30 and it was time for the fast pass for Star Tours so he and Zoe went there while Sam and I decided to go get our early lunch (we always eat at the corn Dog Wagon on Main ST...) and they did not disappoint...only one person in line ahead of us...
for Mother's Day, Tim bought me the Ariel doll in Precious Moments...very cute...now I have 3 of the dolls...
Tim decided that he was going to go to the movies in Downtown Disney and see Avengers once again, clearly one of his all time favorite movies...
Sam, Zoe and I went to California Adventures and went to the new Ariel's ride which Zoe had not been on...once again, we walked right on and Zoe was enthralled with the ride...it is cute everytime you see it...Tim said there were some subtle changes to Ariel's hair (which seemed to plasticy)...
Zoe loves the Golden Zephyr so she and Sam went on that (not my kind of ride...)
I hadn't walked the boardwalk in a long time, so we did that and it was nice, not real crowded or anything...altho toy Story was packed so, we gave up on that...
went to the Muppet's show and to Bug's Land (I love the Bug show no matter how many times I see it)...
forgot that we saw the Phineas and Ferb parade while we were there and Zoe was in heaven...
we walked around California Adventure for a little while before we decided to call it a day and go to
Downtown Disney (I had never walked the whole part before) and it was nice we took it leisurely and had a pretzel, let Zoe play at the Lego store for a long time and then met up with Tim at the movies...
took the monorail back into the park and got off in Tomorrowland and again, took it easy and walked slowly and took in more sights than we usually do...
thought we would get dessert and sit and wait for hubby to come get us so Sam and I went to the Candy Store and got some candy and Tim went and got a brownie funnel cake...
all in all we had a terrific day, one of the best days we have ever had there...would love to do it just like this all over again...

new day new year
I was trying very hard to keep Disney posts in a timeline fashion...trouble is I was overwhelmed and part of 2012 is to keep my blogs up to date...so, when we go to Disney, I am going to post and at the same time, still try to update past ones...it will be hard but, I am pretty sure I can do it...
so that being said...Thursday night was a bad antler night, and I decided that we needed some really serious "down" time and where better to do that than at the big D? I did feel a little bad that the little princess could not miss school but, we already anticipated that D would be absolutely packed and when it is like that, it is hard to do with kids...
so, Tim, Ross & I got up early and headed out and got there just a little after it had opened and as we anticipated, there were a ton of people...the gates to get in were over packed and they started something new since the last time we were there...I guess we have graduated to "those" people...Ross and I both ride our scooters when we go and we went to the closest gate, and the girl at the gate, says, "you guys cannot get in this way anymore. there are just too many of you kind of people and now you have your own gate." Really? wow...not sure how to take that...we could be classified as special with our own gate, but it could also be we are "those" people that are a nuisance...no matter who really cares if it gets us into the Happiest Place on Earth? right?
so since holiday items are still up (they are going down on Sunday) and I had not seen Small World Holiday Edition, that is where we headed first...now let me say, this is Ross least favorite ride so we were surprised when he went on the ride with us...and this Holiday Edition did not
disappoint...the decorations were spectacular, I was so happy with all that they did, I remember some of it from last year, but it seems a lot more was added this year, in particular this ginormous snowman sitting on top of a snowflake...breathing...we thought Ross might be bored since he does not like this ride at all, so we had him cont how many Disney characters he could find among all of the dolls...he did pretty good...(silly him tho, he thought someone from Disney was going to ask him the total number !!!) the one part that I thought was pretty cute was in the Mermaid section and they were singing, "jingle shells, jingle shells..." too cute...my favorite part of course is Holland, Ireland, and then the snowy part...love love love it...I really cannot get enough of this ride tho the song does get to you after a while...
so Tim always HAS to get his fix of beniegts and a mint julep, so we headed that way and once we get to Frontier land, Tim has us pull our scooters over to have a talk with us...he hands us his credit card and said to go have breakfast in our favorite place (Plaza Inn) while he went on a fast pass to Thunder mountain...now, if I have not blogged about Plaza Inn before, OMG it is a feast fit for a king...the absolute bestest omelets, and spiral ham and sausage and anything else you can imagine...fruit and mickey waffles but the best part is that all of the characters come around to your table and talk to you and take pics...I am a little sad when I am there without the grandkids, but they have also all been there for breakfast several times...the only drawback is that the cost is a little excess...(23.95 per person but so well worth when you need a good sit down breakfast...) and to see the little one's faces (the ones that think the characters are real) is so heartwarming...
more to follow tomorrow...am tired and off ot bed I go...
